Msparkyace, So funny you say that about taste, I drank coffee every morning, as I sit here this morning, no desire for a cup of coffee at all. Having a glass of OJ. Not drinking much diet coke either. My sister and I own a frozen custard shop, which used to taste good,OMG tastes really good now!! (I am limiting myself.)Have a great day! Day 6 is almost over and it's not bad at all. I have the most cravings in the morning but they don't last long. Everyone said food would taste so good but it's just the opposite for me. Nothing tastes the same. I was a diet coke fanatic and now don't care for it at all. A lot of things that I liked are just rolling in my mouth. The only thing that really tastes good to me are jelly bellies and I was never a lover of them before. LOL I wonder if it's because I'm using the patch?

Msparkyace, Congratulations! Hell week is almost over, start planning your reward. See this change as an opportunity to try new dishes and experience everything anew. Enjoy! Danielle _________________________ The SSC Support Team

Msparkyace, Over time you will notice that all of your senses will be altered as a result of your quit. Taste and smell are the two main ones that people notice right off. For the first time in years those two senses won't be altered by the smoke from a burning, toxic plant! It will probably take a few weeks before they settle into their new "normal" state. I quit by using the patch and never really tied together it's use and changes in my senses of taste and smell. I believe those are changing simply due to the quit itself. Continued best wishes.
