Congrats to you ladyarwen!!!! I'm so happy for you & know how you feel. I felt so much better once I got all the nicotine out of me as well. It made my quit a lot easier once the drug was out of my body. Enjoy that freedom! Hi Sue- You don't need luck, dear one - you only need focus and determination AND some powerful coping skills and distractions! I Quit once - cold turkey, and never looked back, AND SO CAN YOU... Quitting is a process ~ one step at a time, friend... N.O.P.E. not one puff ever... and your decision that Quitting is much more important than lightin up... Stay close and read old posts here... you can do this!! I'm on my fourth (and last!) quit and can tell you that the mental hurdle of not smoking is the most difficult to overcome, and you've already done that! I like the acronym used by Healer NOPE. Just one puff was how I failed before...once after a year and a half. "Not one puff ever" is perfect. I'm going cold turkey this time and already feel as if the nicotine withdrawal is over...stay strong and you will get through this!
