For me i figured if i was gonna quit for good i might as well try a drink, and i did not even want a smoke at all. So i hope now it is realy gets easier. A little while i was watchin a movie and not 2 feet from my head is my uncles ashtray and man did it ever stink. I can realy notice it now that i have quit.

Hang in there, Shannon... You can make it. I know having a drink might seem like a good idea to steady your nerves, but be careful. Alcohol usually loosens your inhibitions, which will make it harder for you to keep a cool head and stay away from the smokes. Go for a walk, take a hot bath, play a video game. Anything, to keep your mind off the temptation. You've got a good quit going. Don't blow it, now! Hi Shannon, If it's any help, we're trying to start a Mentor thing with the older quitters, ie you are assigned an older quitter to give you help. I'm doing this with somebody now, but there's older quitters out there who I'm sure will help you take care Mr Ed My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 195 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,869 Amount Saved: 1462.5 Life Gained: Days: 32 Hrs: 14 Mins: 50 Seconds: 54
