Thanks for all your support. I thought if I reduced the patch dose I would sleep better. I am going to go back to the stronger patch for a couple more weeks. I feel better this afternoon so I guess I was having a really bad morning. Today is my 14th day without a cigarette! I have been doing great! A little moody but today I feel so angry and want a cigarette more than I have in the last two weeks. I have been using the patches and went to step 2 maybe I should stick with step 1 also I slept with out it last night because I have not been sleeping well at all. I have not posted a lot but sign on everyday and read other post and they make me feel better Thanks My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/15/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 14 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 430 Amount Saved: $140 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 8 Mins: 42 Seconds: 59

Batesface. Doing good for 2weeks. I have read a lot of post of people getting weird around certain times. 2, 3, 4 weeks. Then 3 +6 months. Not tryin to scare maybe just to get you prepared. I to went threw a hard crave last friday. Sometimes I get ahead of myself. Thinking I should be healed by now. Well I smoked for almost 20 years. Not only an addiction but an engrosed habbit. The triggers are what get me. If I dwell, they became a bad crave. KEEP THE QUIT. Go End of Summer Quiter. 2 Weeks is fantastic :) The quit process is a long one - i for one wish it was all over after the initial withdrawl process. I personally found that at week 2 it was a mind game. The addict in me was trying to get me but i told the addict to take a hike. I fought through the bad days knowing that this is my life i was fighting for - i am worth fighting for. It does get easier, hold tight you are doing really well. PrincessC :) x

Batesface, hi congrats on 14 days quite an achievement. Going down already after 2 weeks ? Isn't it a bit quit it takes almost a week to get used to it, was that your prescription? Going down on the patch is a little annoying but it will pass, nothing compared to the first 3 days. Drink a lot of water do exercices, breathing exercices. Keep busy and post. You'll get through today and tomorrow is another day. :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 77 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,161 Amount Saved: $308 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 5 Mins: 4 Seconds: 14

You are doing real well! My hubby took off his patch at night because he couldn't stand the dreams and never felt rested. You might try that. I always left mine on. I enjoyed the whacked-out weird dreams. Better than prime-time TV!!! Keep up the good quit!

Hi Batesface. I saw your title and had to respond. Day 14 was absolutely the worst day of my quit. I wanted to quit my job, leave, go buy a pack and smoke just one. I didn't though. I came here and posted instead just like you. I quit cold turkey and don't really know a lot about the patch but I wanted you to know I went through the same thing. You are doing great. Keep taking one step at a time. As long as you don't smoke, it will get better. Hang in there. Bates, You are ending "Heck Week" and this will pass. Continue on the patch program to the very end as it will give better results :) It is time for a reward, so take some you time and do something special :) Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
