Good for you Stormy. You are developing the coping skills you need for this lifetime quit. I came here first to check on you and I'm so glad to see that you made it through. Now, let's do it again. :) Remember: Every day is one day closer to never feeling this way again. One step at a time, you are doing great! Stormy... stay in today. You quit for today only. Tomorrow will take care of itself. You are in Hell week and it is well....HELL. We have been there and really know how you feel. Oh the emotions are something else. I truly thought I would lose my mind. But the dizzy spells, the spacy feeling, the wanting to cry at the drop of a dime... It all passes. Hang on tight. You don't want to start all over again. You CAN do this. You are stronger than the addiction. You really don't want to be an addict anymore. You are fighting for your life. Don't give up. Kick, scream, cry, punch a pillow, whatever it takes, just don't smoke! Hi, Stormy. Sounds like you're right on track for day 2. Maybe you shouldn't try to fight or supress the emotions. Go find a pillow and beat the crap out of it. One person once suggested buying old chinaware from a thrift store, then smashing it in a large box. Cheap, effective, and easy to clean up after. :) You are not doomed. This is temporary and will not harm you. The worst thing you can do is sit and dwell on it. What you feel are signs of healing. I know they don't feel that way, but they are. Hang in there, Stormy. Post, post, post. It's a proven fact you can't light a cigarette while typing at full speed! ;) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 422 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,455 Amount Saved: $1603.6 Life Gained: Days: 78 Hrs: 19 Mins: 35 Seconds: 48

Stormy, You have received lots of great advice. Take what you need and keep it close. It is ok to let it all out! Take some time to make a list of activities that will occupy you and distract you. We are always here for support,so post often and let us guide you :) Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
