smoked out, It gets better for each of us at a different time. My first quit (7 months) I think I started feeling better right about this time- unfortunatly, broke up with my fiance right when I was feeling good. (Well, he dumped me- but that's another story) I would suggest talking to your brother inlaw. It's okay to tell him that Zyban doesn't seem to be working. Often times medication takes several weeks (up to 6) to become effective. He may suggest doubling the dose. Hang in there. PS> Don't feel guilty about smoking thoughts. Everyone has them and the lessen over time. I didn't use Zyban and I didn't actually cry, but I battled depression something terrible. It took me about 3 months to get through it. I lost enthusiasm for just about everything and my posts were pretty whiney and depressing, but posting helped. Part of the reason that I don't smoke now or let myself "cheat" is because I fear going through that again and my post are constant reminders of what that was like. You should probably talk to your doc, the meds may not agree with you or the dose may be wrong. But it sounds to me like you need to be honest with yourself and everyone else about the way you feel. Don't feel bad about it, this is tough for some of us. The emotional reaction to quitting was totally unexpected for me and if I hadn't seen that others had gotten through it, I don't think that I could have kept going. Reward yourself and post how you feel, do it OFTEN. You may want to start a journal if it feels to strange to talk to others about it. It's important that you get your feeling OUT. Why, I don't know but it does seem to help. Do little things for yourself, expect less from yourself in other areas of your life, and let others know that this is tough for you. It's OK to ask for help and forgiveness. Hang in there, it will pass. I promise. Kerin, Around the 30 day mark many members have experienced this! Take some you time and relax yourself. Pamper yourself and concentrate on you for a day! It is ok to let it all out and have that cry, you will feel better. Make a list and jump into activities, chores and hobbies. Keep posting and know that you are worth it! Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
