Greetings...I started taking Gabitril over a month ago..started on like 4mg at night and i am in the process of increasing my dose to 24mg at night. I have had a lot of intense changes currently (moved from atlanta to WV to baltimore) and i am also on HIV drugs, so if there have been any changes in me, its kind of hard to tease out. But having been on Depression/panic meds for 8 years or so, I know for me, that i do not usually "notice" positive benifits of these meds. They usually are gradual for me. I have noticed that i have had more occassions where i can actually see the leaves, not just the trees. That is my analogy for being able to see the details in life instead of life being a background screen, which it is often for me when i am playing in panic mode.
Thank you for your response, I think what is holding me back from the med the most is that it was initially prescribed for siezures. I am going to give it a try though !
I have just been prescribed Gabitril along with the Lexapro I am taking for panic disorder. Do you have any updates on your experience with it. I haven't taken it yet. Something about it has me concerened.
I would get on the net and see what you can find in the meantime, and I wouldn€™t trust a doctor just because he tells me something. So what meds can€™t you handle and if it€™s any SSRI I think most of us can understand that and have problems with them on some level.
My doc. just prescribed Gabitril 2mg in the morning and at night. I don't know what it is exactly,I heard it was an anti-seizure med, that helps anxiety. He says to trust him that it helps people like me who can't tolerate anti-depressants. Anyone taken it? Please let me know any info!!
