Slow, TX what about impossible!!!!! And what about going in the wrong direction despite your efforts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so frustrated, I could scream ! At WI today, I gained 1.6 pounds, which makes a total of 6.2 pounds I have gained since I quit smoking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have I been pigging out ? NO Have I been lazy ? NO, unless you think walking 10 miles in the past few days in lazy !!! I am so frustrated with this !!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!! Breaking, LOL Oh well... more exercise... and read duffis' post 'The Perfect Diet' if you haven't already ! Alley, I am so glad that you joined us frustrated ex-smokers and dieters here in our rip-off of Weight Watchers (of which I am also a member)...We can do this ! and those vege calzones sound really yummy! I am getting weighed in today !! Urgh. The trouble is, I have gained 4.6 pounds since I quit smoking but have been completely good (in my points) and working out and everything! Mama, We have to do it for ourselves and it is a lonely journey! I don't really have anyone cheering me on except in here ! My BF does not know that I work really hard to keep my appetite under control, work out, and not smoke !!! (the not smoking part has been the easiest lately!) Breaking, I am so happy for you! I don't think I am going to make any great progress on the scale this week. urgh. This is not because I haven't been good, I have been! I even walked 5 miles yesterday. Sounds like everyone is doing well. In case people don't know, I am formerly smokingsux. :) I did pretty well this weekend. I did not get to swim since the weather was not great, but I did do some gardening and walking to make up for it. I also ate very well. Veggies, fruit, grilled chicken, I was good. Zany, If you want to lose the weight and keep it off you have to lose it slowly! Otherwise, your metabolism doesn't have a chance to change along with your diet and you'll be back at square one before you know it. Also, never starve yourself! You will lose the weight but the second you eat anything your body will hold onto it for dear life! Focus more on portions and what you're eating.
