Jo, unfortunately this quitting adventure doesn't happen overnight. But it does happen minute by minute, hour by hour, and day by day. That's why you have to face it in those increments. No wishing will make it different.
Each minute that you make it means you are one minute stronger than you were. Same for each hour and each day. You are 25 days stronger now, believe it or not. That junkie is trying to suck you back in, by telling you "OH, JO, you are so weak. OH, JO, a cigarette will make you feel so much better. OH, JO, blah, blah, blah, lie, lie, lie, tempt, tempt, tempt."
So who's stronger? You or the junkie? Are you going to give up all your hard work for the temptations of a demon? You know that you can get through those craves -- there's no reason to be scared because you KNOW you can get through them. So find something to do today. Make a day plan. Church? Park? Shop? Cook? Occupy yourself so that that junkie will know that he is dying.
Come on, Jo. We know that you can do this. Now you do, too!
Rusty :)
