Hang in there PinkTexas... I know it sounds trite, but really, "this too will pass." Nearly everyone here has been through the same thing or is the midst of it now. There is light at the end of the tunnel, (and from under the bedcovers). ;) Just hang on to that thought and hang in there... Pink hi, all of it, is normal, you're done with hell week ,heck week, you're now in blah week, now look back to the first week, it's better I'm sure, the key is patience. Have you tried writing down your reasons for quitting and carrying them with you, when you feel the need take out the paper and read it. You are learning to deal with emotions without the mask of addiction, it takes time and practice. Some very wise person here once said and it sunk in with me: nothing worthwhile is easy, you just have to want it. Hope you feel better soon :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 105 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,588 Amount Saved: $420 Life Gained: Days: 13 Hrs: 23 Mins: 13 Seconds: 23

Oh, Pink: I know where you are coming from!; I hear what you are saying!; I know what you mean!; I smell what you're steppin' in! (I just heard that last one from my 16 year old...kindda gross, but you get the meaning...) JUST WHAT IS NORMAL??? Since quitting I have gained weight, lost my patience; gained life, lost friends; gained friends, lost respect.....the list goes on... I have gained alot and I have lost a lot. This much I know...if I don't quit smoking, I am going to die. That is the plain and simple truth. I want to crawl under the covers (at this point with/or without Windy's other half and/or cat) and just sleep away the next few weeks.... But, that is not realistic or possible (Windy told me fish and company stink after a week...) so, I guess we will just have to get up every morning and face the day, whatever it brings... So...I will hold your hand if you will hold mine...is it a deal? (((hugs)))

Pink, I'm worried about your metal battle with nicoTIN. I hope you manage to IRON your problems out - that NicoDemon can LEAD you astray and I'd hate to see you ZINC any further.
