The nicotine patches are more of a mental substitute than anything else if its annoying you so much try cold turkey it may be better!! HI KYPALAK, THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME. I BOUGHT TWO BOXES! I JUST QUIT WITH THEM AND WENT COLD TURKEY. IF YOU MUST USE THEM THEN YOU WILL HAVE TO TAPE THEM ON AS I DID THE FIRST FEW TIMES I TRIED TO QUIT. I THINK IT IS REALLY UNFAIR TO PUT SOMETHING THAT COST ALOT OF MONEY AND THEN NOT DO WHAT IT SAYS IT DOES. I WISH YOU THE BEST IN YOUR QUITTING. YOU CAN DO IT! Windy I don't think you can overdose on patches as it contains much less than if you smoked. :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 94 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,410 Amount Saved: $376 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 9 Mins: 33 Seconds: 9

Kat it's not recommended to put the patch on the breast, if you read the instructions it's a nono My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 77 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,164 Amount Saved: $308 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 5 Mins: 46 Seconds: 31

Gonnadoit, and she makes me laugh again LOL I remember the first days with the patch, my smoking friend asked me ;where do you put it ? and I answered just that: on my forehead so no one will offer me a cigarette. I was so mean Yikes. The old debate to patch or not to patch. I quit twice cold turkey for long periods and went back to smoking. This time I prepared for my quit, I got rid of a lot of habits: no smoking in the car, in the house, so no smoking when talking on the phone, having my mourning coffee outside and in the winter in the garage, not much fun! So now I'm doing it with the patch I remember going ct, it was much harder than it is this time (for me) everyone's quit is different, we just have to find what works for us. I still have withdrawal when I go down on the patch, it's not as bad as the first 3 days and it's getting better as I'm now on 7mg.for the 3rd day today and I'm sensitive and jittery as I react 2 days later to the change, this is me. Everyday is a step in the right direction and the end result will be freedom to a nasty addiction. I think we have to look at the big picture here, smoking is a nasty controlling addiction and to be smoke free is freedom. so whatever works for you do it and be proud ,you're smoke free ,pamper yourself you deserve it. Best wishes to all hugs :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 77 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,163 Amount Saved: $308 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 5 Mins: 23 Seconds: 37

Kypalak, breathe in breathe out, now the site where you apply the patches must be dry and oil free. Maybe the box you have is faulty!Do what you have decided to do, your decision was to use the patch stick with it (no pun intended) For now use a little tape to help it stick. I know, I had trouble with a few in the beginning. Drink a lot of water have your gum and mints ready and maybe straws to chew on, keep yourself busy and you will get through this day. :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 77 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,161 Amount Saved: $308 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 5 Mins: 3 Seconds: 25

I noticed that the patches stuck best on my back, on the shoulder blade. I rotated between right and left side of back and right and left upper arm. On really bad days I thought about putting it on my forehead as a warning for others to stay out of my way! :eg: LOL

Kat: What girls? I put something on my breasts and it's liable to roll out of the bottom of my pant leg at some point! :8o: Besides, everytime I put it anywhere near my chest a slight rash would develop.
