The old debate to patch or not to patch. I quit twice cold turkey for long periods and went back to smoking. This time I prepared for my quit, I got rid of a lot of habits: no smoking in the car, in the house, so no smoking when talking on the phone, having my mourning coffee outside and in the winter in the garage, not much fun! So now I'm doing it with the patch I remember going ct, it was much harder than it is this time (for me) everyone's quit is different, we just have to find what works for us. I still have withdrawal when I go down on the patch, it's not as bad as the first 3 days and it's getting better as I'm now on 7mg.for the 3rd day today and I'm sensitive and jittery as I react 2 days later to the change, this is me. Everyday is a step in the right direction and the end result will be freedom to a nasty addiction. I think we have to look at the big picture here, smoking is a nasty controlling addiction and to be smoke free is freedom. so whatever works for you do it and be proud ,you're smoke free ,pamper yourself you deserve it. Best wishes to all hugs :)Marie
