We all go through the same process and we all have bad days and good days in our journey. What makes you special is that you didn't run out and light one. Your name says it all "Determined 2 Quit". Congratulations on your 100 days smoke free. -TT

Thanks. It helps to know we all go through tough times now and then. I refuse to start over after coming this far. We must remember craves do pass. Congrats to you and keep up the good work, I'm right behind you. See you on the beach tomorrow. A nice cold rum runner would be great!! Just had to share my experience over the weekend to show how that damn NICODEMON still exists within my head. I was craving Friday into Saturday and it was a pretty good crave. Being close to 100 days, I knew from others that this was a bumpy period so I really was fighting it. On Saturday I started cleaning some closets and was going through a bunch of old purses. I was arguing with myself saying that if I found a cig in one of these, it's God's way of saying I'm supposed to smoke it otherwise it wouldn't have been here. Well thank goodness there wasn't any, and I am now feeling much stronger and no craves. I'm not sure what I would've done if there was one, and that is very scary and makes me realize I have a long way to go. Determined 2Q WOW Excellent job at turning those junkie thoughts around. You now have a very beneficial and clear example of what you will do to remain quit. Way to go. My opinion, it is the build up of these experiences that give confidence and builds strength. You arrive at the beach tomorrow. What is your reward? I hope you have a great celebration planned. Congratulations! D2Q... You may have a long way to go but you have also come a long way. Don't turn back now. You are about to cross over into freedom and you don't want to miss that feeling. It gets easier and the days start to go by faster. Don't give up because you are just about there. Aren't you glad God looks out for us? Congratulations! Hi D2Quit, I am sooooo glad you did not find any stray cancer sticks. I know exactly how you felt. I have walked the alley looking for cig butts that are long enough to pick up off the ground and smoke! Talk about insanity. I just passed my 100 day milestone, and i have been having alot of smoking thoughts and craves also. Mostly in the mornings. But, from what I read on this site, it is normal around this stage of our quits. You will be rocking at the beach tomorrow! An early congratulations. Take it easy for a few days and do not light that next cig. You have a fabulous quit going. Don't make the CHOICE to throw it away. It will get better. Hey D2Q - I know what you would have done. You would have looked at it, you would have laughed at yourself, you would have thrown it away or otherwise destroyed it and you would have celebrated. You're strong, you've proven that. Your brain was playing games with you, if you did find one, you would have said game over, and you know it! The reality of the situation would have stopped you. Why? Because you're a non-smoker.
