I have been on the 7 mg patch for several days now. I am not craving a smoke. I am, however, moody, forgetful, dizzy and disoriented, sick to my stomach, have a small never-ending nagging headache, and I sleep too much. I had not experienced any of this before now. I'm not sure if I have a flu-bug or if this is withdrawals. I truly do not desire a cigarette cuz I feel so sick. YUCK! :(

It may be withdrawal, but it sounds like you are coming down with something. Grab some soup, lots of fluids, some pepto, a movie and take care of yourself today. Hope you feel better soon. *sending some cyber-soup your way* ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 84 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,534 Amount Saved: $336 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 2 Mins: 34 Seconds: 49

HURSTK I am sorry you feel this way. I can so relate to what you are feeling! I quit a few years ago with the patch and I had each of those symptoms. I was so worried I began to have panic attacks and could not manage. I started to smoke again. I stopped driving and I could barely go out of the house. It was so bad that I went for brain scans and blood tests and heart monitorings. I spent almost a year trying to get myself better and I was smoking again. What worked to have me feel better. Breathing, a good physical work out, yoga and breath work. Eventually swimming. Please if you feel that your symptoms are overwhelming go and see your doctor, however know that there others who have used the patch and felt the same way that you feel now. Breath, walk and do something physical. Stay quit and take your mind off of the symptoms. Fill your mind with what you will do with your new life. Congratulations on your great quit and I hope you feel better soon.
