day 11 and I'm weepy

17 years ago 0 262 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Thank you all for your support. I'm hanging in there, took a long nap this afternoon. Still weepy (I hate that) want to just dig a hole and crawl in. Don't want to see anyone, don't want to talk to anyone, just want to be alone in my misery. That's not true or I wouldn't be posting here???? I don't know what I want :confuse: I think I might go to an AA meeting, it would probably do me good, need an attitude adjustment or something. No way am I going to smoke or drink!!! I'll stay close to here. Thanks again for the hugs, they help a lot Love, Auntie My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/22/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 10 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 482 Amount Saved: $110.6 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 7 Mins: 8 Seconds: 6

What's up with this ? Day 11 and for the last 3 days I've been weepy as hell!! I can't seem to control it and it's driving me mad. Is this `normal'? I don't seem to have cravings but yet I want to smoke sometimes, I know that is nicodemons working on me and am not going to give in. Just frustrated. Trying to stay strong. Hi there! I actually went through and continue to have weepy days!! I think that before - cigarettes were our emotion hiders, and we didn't deal with alot of things - now I don't have those cigarettes to rely on and need to learn how to deal with anxiety, the depression from not being to smoke when others are, lots of new things to learn - but keep your chin up - it gets easier - trust me!!! Yes it's normal. I went through a bit of a down mood from about day 10 to day 20. Every once in awhile I still feel a bit down, but cannot really tell you why. However, those times are less and less and don't last very long. Think positive thoughts! :)

You are coming up on blah week. (that's after heck week) Also be prepared to feel feelings more intensely now that you have quit smoking. Your feelings are not masked by a drug anymore. Kinda like how you can taste and smell better now. Feelings are the same. Learn new coping skills for your emotions and get to practicing them. You'll be a pro in no time. Maybe a bubble bath and a movie are in order for today. Don't fight it. Take care of you if you are feeling a little blue today. You're a star for making it this far. I sobbed most of the time during the first three weeks. This is when I wasn't sleeping or posting - well actually I sobbed while I was posting too! This will pass. It takes quite a while to find the real you again, but you will. Have faith!!!
