Hi thought I'd share this with all.
Emotional tears shed in moments of intense feelings carry stress hormones. Signals a level of stress detrimental to your health. So
LET IT ALL OUT.
Wow I've gotten rid of a lot of stress hormones since June 13th 2006
So that's why it's called a cleansing cry.
:)no crying today Marie

I joke and kid a lot, but there are a whole bunch of tears in between. Sometimes when I am sitting at the computer I will be crying when my hubby passes by. He is such a dear and asks, "what's wrong, darling?" I respond, "Misty Moon (or whoever) is having such a hard time right now." He is sympathetic to my face, but I think I spotted committal papers in his briefcase. For me or the 19 year old? Your guess is as good as mine! :) I love you guys!

Unlike basal or irritant tears, emotional tears are hormonal and chemically different. One major hormone that increases with stress is also associated with crying: prolactin. Levels of prolactin in the body correlate positively with frequency of emotional crying.

What you say is so true Marie. I cried a river in those first months. Crying is much better than smoking! Keep the quit. It is worth it. Let the tears fall where they may.
