Hey Mac - just think, another couple of days and you will be through your 1st week - imagine the JOY of never having to go through that again! And then, in a while, think of how amazing it's going to feel (and I guarantee it will) when you have one of those "aha" moments and realize, in hindsight, that you had a period of time, no matter how long (even seconds are great) that you didn't think about smoking. It will happen. Just this morning, I realized that when I was checking off "my daily progress", I'd been clicking the "no significant withdrawl symptoms" for the first time so far. Back to your question - there are a ton of amazing posts from the past that longer-standing members "bump" for our benefit. Read as many as you can - they are very insightful, and there's probably always something you can take away from each one. Take care, sushik My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/31/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 87 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,185 Amount Saved: $783 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 12 Mins: 13 Seconds: 13

Mac, Bump means bringing an old thread to the top. As new threads get posted, older threads that haven't been posted to get pushed down, so "bumping" is how we bring them back up so that newer quitters can read them and older quitters can be reminded of the good information in them. No, you don't sound grumpy at all, and this is a fairly typical question that I'm sure many others were also wondering. Thanks for asking! Crave the Quit! The further you get in your journey, the easier the ride gets. Hang in there Mac. I'm actually enjoying the heck out of my journey at this point. Get busy making non-smoking memories. Get busy doing things you always said you were going to do when you were sitting around smoking and didn't. Get busy and don't look back. Be patient with yourself and you quit and have faith that you will reach your destination. Believe. Become. Congrats on your decision to quit Mac. ... btw ... if you don't read this and respond ... I'm going to *bump* this thread. heh! ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 105 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,178 Amount Saved: $420 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 21 Mins: 51 Seconds: 29

Hi Mac.. Day 4 huh? That's GREAT! We're pretty tolerant of grumpy around here :) If you've not yet found it, click on View Support Group in the menu to your left. Look at the blue bar...just above where it says "Last Post". You'll see a link to "Today's Active Discussions". This is the easiest way to keep up with ALL the forums in one spot. So, "Bump" makes the current post active and it "bumps" back to the top of the list of discussions. I hope that wasn't too confusing :confuse: Congratulations on your quit! Let us know if/when we can help.
