Hiya Jeanigirl! Yes, you are at the most difficult time of a quit right now. Please remember this! It DOES GET BETTER!! With each passing minute you are making it closer to the easier parts! Stay very close to here! I was reading messages constantly for the first week. Scream if you have to! Just break things up into little bits. "If I can only make it this next 5 minutes" "If I can only make it to 3pm" "If I can only make it to dinner" Whatever the heck it takes! Just look at what you've already done! 4 DAYS!! Can you believe you've already gone 4 DAYS?! That is nothing short of awesome. Keep plugging away, and know that we are here for you! Jeanigirl, Kick that junkie talk right outta there. Don't listen to the trash talking that goes on. Your stronger, faster and better!! You CAN breathe it away, it's true! Yes, day 4 sucks, but YOU'RE WINNING. That's all that matters, that you don't smoke. If you want to go throw stuff around and you're better for it, then do it. If you want a nap, take it. It's all about you this week, be gentle with yourself and try to be kind to those around you even if you're not feelin it. Hi jeanigirl - Yes, it's awful... You are in Hell week, dear one. Hold on to yourself tightly, and just hang on. Sleeping helped me alot the first couple of weeks... Just pulling the covers over my head, crying helped too, and I was angry as hell that first week... This is the time just to hang as tight as you can, dear one. Journal, hit a pillow, go for a walk, call a friend, clean the house with a toothbrush! turn on the TV and just get lost in a program, jeanigirl - do anything, just DON'T SMOKE. We are all here pulling for you - go back and read old posts, that was really helpful for me when I was where you are! Blessings be- Healer PS: When you post, please make sure to slow your meter so we can see where you are in your Quit:) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 99 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,485 Amount Saved: $460.35 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 22 Mins: 3 Seconds: 45

You're doing great Jeanigirl. You have the right attitude. Love yourself and don't ever stop. Believe in yourself and don't look back. Nice work on making a long distance car ride smokefree - that was one of my biggest triggers and I was proud when I made it through my first road trips. I'm sure you are too, as you should be. Life or death, live or die. There is only do, there is no try. Choice puts the free in freedom. No worries, no hurries. jeaniegirl. Try a nice warm bubble bath with your favorite music playing. Lay back, close your eyes and relax. That should ease the jitters for a little while. Don't fold Jeanigirl - stay strong. It sucks - yes it does, but you're doing the right thing. You chose to smoke, now you've chosen not to. You need to pay the piper and get through this withdrawal. I'm here to tell you IT GETS BETTER IF YOU STAY WITH IT. You can and you will beat the demon Jeanigirl. 4 days is awesome - let the addiction die - let your freedom begin! A cigarette is a flawed delivery system for the addictive substance - nicotine. Nothing more. If cigarettes were invented today, they'd never make it to market. Never. We live with them because they've been around forever. Well, they wont be. There will come a day when they make the last cigarette. That will be a great day indeed. By then, jeanigirls will have years of quit under her belt..... Right??
