Our habits have to realize that, like our kids, that "no" is an answer. Thanks for the great tips everyone!

Well, i was reflecting on a conversation I once had with a psychiatrist who told me when i wanted to quit a relationship that i thought was bad to me at the time and i was having a hard time . I recall I told him that i was suffering and that i found it very hard to leave the guy and he responded by saying so what?!.. so guys if you are craving so what !! hang on there it is worth it and what's the hell with a little bit of suffering or craving for sthng soooooooooo important like giving up this lousy habbit??

Silly habbit, That is so true. Its funny but I think most of us expect this to be a little easier. I mean we know it will be hard, we just don't think about all the true mental anguise we will go threw. Love the so what. But hey life has never been easy. Look back in time. Struggles, wars, choas, life has never been easy. In todays society we are spoiled and things do come easy. If it is worth doing, it is worth doing right. That means it is worth fighting for. Great Thread! When I started out here, all I wanted to hear was somebody on a 6 to 12 month quit (or more) telling me that it is worth it and you will feel better. I listened and believed.... Now I'm on 6 months (1st quit in 30 years of smoking 30 cigs a day) and I can confirm - YES it is worth it!! best thing I've ever done!!!
