Good morning all,
For those of us who live in US, Labor(3)day weekend is fast approaching and you know there will be lots of food, drink, and idle time.
Let's stay strong to our quit and dont take it even one puff.
-TT
I will try to be strong this weekend too!!! We are going back home to visit and all the bars are smoke free!!! Yipee, never thought I would be happy about that.
But for this holiday weekend I will not smoke!!!

ME TOO!!! Having all the grown kids, etc... over on Monday for a BBQ and swimming in the pool. Most everybody smokes. Hubby...the SUCCESSFUL quitter...has to work, so I will be with the group on my own as hostess. Smoking is permitted outside near the poolhouse opposite the house (far from me) I'll be the one next to Cybrduke doing the grilling, so there may be a little smoke. I'll smell like hickory chips as opposed to tobacco..cuz..I'm gonnadoit! NOPE! :)
Of course, when we all get together, there is a great chance of a familial free-for-all. :confuse: However, I have more wind since quitting and both hands will be free now, so I think I can take them!!! :p
TT,
Thank you for taking the initiative to start this thread as many members find it helpful.
Smoke free in Toronto this labor day weekend!
Have a good one!

Great thread, TT.
Weekends are the hardest for many because the distraction of work isn't there and many of us are into situations where we used to smoke. Three-day weekends are even harder because of the gatherings and partying.
But that's not to say we can't all get through this smoke-free. It can be done. Just remain vigilant and place your quit foremost in your priorities.
Cybrduke, I never realized you were pyrochallenged! Stay up wind and keep a fire extingusher close to hand. :8o:
Have a safe, fun, and smoke-free weekend everyone.
Keep up the good quits!
Shevie

I'm sorry - but I can't promise I wont smoke.
There is an outside chance that as I'm grilling burgers I could set myself on fire and that would cause me to smoke, at least until the fire is put out.
So...
OH! You meant cigarettes - funny - I forgot about those stupid things....
Yeah - I promise - I wont touch those things.......
