Thanks again 3galeh! I am going to start with that one next week, this week is my own. I HAVE to take control back, I really haven't gained that much but 5 pounds to me is like 50 in my mind. At one point in my life I had put on quite a bit and swore that I wouldn't let that happen again, so anytime the scale moves I go crazy. Can't wait any longer or it will just keep going up....YIKES! Thanks again, I really appreciate it. Question for you 3galeh!, how much of the soup do you need to eat each day? I am going to give this a shot, need something to just jump start me back to where I need to be, would like to get 5 to 10 pounds off and it's just not happening. I think I need something that tells me what I can for the next few days to get over this mental thing happening with me. Let me know. Thanks I printed it all out but what I am wondering is there at least a MINIMUM of how much soup per day. Do you need to eat at least one cup of soup per day up to as much as you want. I just thought there might be at least a minimum of what you could have for the soup. If there isn't that's ok too, I will just make sure I have at least a bowl a day, yes of course more if I want (which I am sure I will, I love this kind of soup). Thanks for the information and WOW your stats are awesome, I didn't even see them the first time. Congratulations on such an incredible quit. I believe they say eat as much soup as you can each day, the more you can eat the better. I used this diet the week before I quit smoking and it gave me the boost I needed when I did quit to stay eating healthy. I walked, biked and swam all I could and I actually lost wieght when I quit smoking. That took allot of work and will power but I feel great now. Thanks for the congrats, I am proud of my quit. Keep up the good work, your stats are pretty darn good too!!! I posted this diet when I first quit and allot of the members tried it and really appreciated it. I didn't have any of the problems you are referring too but it could happen, but the diet does work and I know allot on here are struggling with the weight gain and I only thought to help. When I first quit smoking I vowed I would NOT replace my smoking habit with an eating habit. The week before I quit I went on the cabbage soup diet for 1 week (not one I would stay on for any length of time but its great for a kick start) I lost 6 lbs and then when I quit smoking I stayed eating healthy and WALKED and WALKED, 2 miles in the morn and 2 at night, then I biked, exercised and swam when I could fit them in. I didnt gain weight when I quit in fact I have lost weight so yes it can be done. This is the soup and the diet if anyone is interested. There are other ones similar, if you google them there are actually quite a few. Hope this helps some of you. I am still watching what I eat and I am still holding my own. It takes ALLOT of work but like quitting smoking it is worth it!! 6 large green onions 2 green peppers 1 or 2 cans of tomatoes (diced or whole) 3 Carrots 1 Container (10 oz. or so) Mushrooms 1 bunch of celery half a head of cabbage 1 package Lipton soup mix 1 or 2 cubes of bouillon (optional) 1 48oz can V8 juice (optional) Season to taste with salt, pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, etc. Directions: Slice green onions, put in a pot and start to saute with cooking spray. Cut green pepper stem end off and cut in half, take the seeds and membrane out. Cut the green-pepper into bite size pieces and add to pot. Take the outer leafs layers off the cabbage, cut into bite size pieces, add to pot. Clean carrots, cut into bite size pieces, and add to pot. Slice mushrooms into thick slices, add to pot. If you would like a spicy soup, add a small amount of curry or cayenne pepper now. You can use beef or chicken bouillon cubes for seasonings. These have all the salt and flavors you will need. Use about 12 cups of water (or 8 cups and the V8 juice), cover and put heat on low. Let soup cook for a long time - two hours works well. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Remember: This diet should only be followed for 7 days at a time, with at least two weeks in between. Day One: Fruit: Eat all of the fruit you want (except bananas). Eat only your soup and the fruit for the first day. For drinks- unsweetened teas, cranberry juice and water. Day Two: Vegetables: Eat until you are s

It is important to remember what works for one may not work for another. Always check with your doctor before starting a diet or exercise regime and perhaps you can come up with a plan that is right for you :) Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
