I quit about 7 years ago with my ex-husband for 6 months and an old wives cure for ridding your body of nicotine helped.mix one 1/2 tsp of cream of tarter into a 1/2 cup of orange juice.apparently the juice sastifys your blood suger drop and the cream of tarter mixed with the acid in the juice acts as a antitoxin.A little tip to add to many.My daughter is an angel and life would be hell without her.I've already stared to prepare for life as a non-smoker.I cleaned and put away all my ashtrays and febreezed my apt and forced my boyfreind out in the cold to smoke!I'm sure he will take the hint and quit to! You are off to an excellent start,Sugar! It would be nice if boyfriend joined you on this quit, but you are setting the stage and perhaps he will follow your lead! Kids are a great and worthwhile distraction during the quit process. Now you can improve the quantity and quality of time spent with your daughter (and you will smell good, too!) As far as improved taste and smell---I noticed it almost immediately! Congrats! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 47 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,369 Amount Saved: $376 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 20 Mins: 58 Seconds: 53

Things started tasting better for me in the first week I quit. I remember how awesome that was. I also remember gaining 10 lbs. LOL! Everything tasted so good that I pigged out for a while ... My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 166 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,994 Amount Saved: $664 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 0 Mins: 5 Seconds: 34

Hi Sugar Be proud of your decision - it might just be the best one you've made in recent times. On the subject of tastebuds - i didn't know that they had to grow back!!!! How frightening. Anyway I'm sharing with you the rediscovery of the taste sense and it's gorgeous. Your daughter sounds like a wee bright angel, Sugar. You do know that kids are great a spotting the truth and she is so right - you can do it. You can and we all want to watch your road to success. Right here for you. Go enjoy another cup of that coffee. All the best Sharon My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/14/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 11 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 113 Amount Saved: 29.59 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 22 Mins: 46 Seconds: 6

Your body starts to change immediately, however, every body will be different. You body will be trying to heal itself over time and you will see many wonderful changes :) Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
