I'm always hungry!!!

17 years ago 0 4 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
You could also try eating porridge for your breakfast, its really filling. I aim to have a large breakfast small dinner and large healthy tea then I dont feel the urge to snack all night while I am watching tv. I havent felt like drinking tea or coffee since not smoking they really go hand in hand for me. Ive found Rasberry flavoured water with green tea extract in my local supermarket and since drinking a bottle a day ive felt less bloated and lumpy. Im only on my third day tho so I am hoping if I carry on like this I wont gain too much weight. Good luck hope some of this helps x Sue x

Today, I'm doing MUCH better! I think I'm starting to get the hang of this diet thing. So far today, I have consumed 800 calories (about 100 more than yesterday at this time) and I feel great, I'm not hungry and I don't think I'm going to binge eat when it's dinner time. I tallied up my calories from yesterday, including my binge last night after I got home, and for the day, I ate 1460 calories, but 1/2 of those were between 5 and 7pm. Today, I'm going to try to spread it out more. Even if I don't lose the weight I want to lose, I think just this lesson in eating healthier is a good one for me to learn. I've completely cut out ALL mountain dew out of my diet!!! I honestly can't remember the last time I went an entire day without a mountain dew, but it would have to have been AT LEAST 11 years ago!! Today and yesterday, I haven't had any, and with the exception of the caffine headache I had yesterday from not having any mountain dew, I haven't really been missing it all that much. I've been drinking LOTS of water instead (8 glasses yesterday, working on 4 today). I think I might actually LIKE eating healthier!!! Crave the Quit (definitely craving the weight loss now)! Rusty, For breakfast, I had a Slimfast shake. For a snack, I had some Orville Redenbacker popcorn cakes (60 calories and no fat and they taste great!!!). For lunch, I had a sandwich, 4 strawberries and a granola bar. BUT I WAS STILL HUNGRY!!! All day, I could hear my stomach growling and I felt hunger paings throughout the entire day! What do I do? Crave the Quit (and weight loss)! I went on Sparkpeople and it said 1200-1550 a day as well. I calculated that I have had about 1100 calories today and that leaves room for a snack in about 1/2 an hour... so about 2 1/2 hours before bed. I don't think I'm not eating enough calories... I just think that the calories I'm eating is still leaving me hungry and I don't know what to do about it! Crave the Quit (and the weight loss)! Thanks for the tips everybody! Tomorrow I have school, so I can be more flexible and can monitor when and what I eat more effectively depending on hunger. Thursday I work again, and I will definitely take all of your suggestions into account and add another snack in there somewhere and see how it goes. Thanks everybody! Crave the Quit (and weight loss)! Gosh! I'm so much better at the quitting thing than I am the dieting thing! I just don't know what to do! Today, I started my new job. I packed a very healthy lunch, had a light breakfast and only packed the recommended amount of calories that I should have in the time when I would be at work... and I was hungry the WHOLE time! Even when I was eating lunch, I looked at my meager little sandwich and I just KNEW that it would not be enough to satisfy me... it wasn't. When I got home tonight, I had a chicken breast (cooked in Pam - not butter) topped with salsa, green beans and some low fat/low cal chips that I found to go with the salsa as well... but I couldn't quit eating!!! I'm trying so hard to just eat healthy items, but sooner or later, even the healthy items will add up to a lot of calories and I JUST CAN'T STOP EATING!!!!! What do I do? How do I keep myself from practically binge eating when I get home at night??? Crave the Quit (and starting to crave the weight loss)! ps - maybe you're missing some vitamins in your diet and your interpreting that signal as hunger. I know when I dont get enough Iron I feel weak and light headed. They make some great multivitamins for women... Hi Guys - I find if I dont eat enough protein I starve. Try eating canned tuna - its cheap, very low in fat and contains lots of energy. I try to stay away from processed foods like "lite' chips because I think they're just empty calories and I'm not sure my body knows how to digest those things fully. Good luck! Hi Butterfly Swimmer, i know how you feel. I know how it is to be "hungry"..i'm like you always. I have always been like this.Maybe i will go to the fridge 10 times each day.I always prefered eating things like biscuits,a little chocolate yum yum... But then i tried to find things to eat,to feel full fast and without calories. Eat fruits, vegetables (carrots which are easy and you can just wash and put in the fridge ready to be eaten)and drink lots of water.i started drinking more now that my metabolism is not moving...(thank god my kgs are not going up )Hoping that water will move the metabolism a little... sometimes when i feel fed up with water i take a little bottle and put this tea envelopes (don't know how to say it in english)without sugar of course and it gets a little tastier... I also eat McVities 65cal/each (you eat one,you drink a glass of water and you are full). Some things are not so tasty..and while you would like a nice sandwhich with more calories, you eat a carrot or something similar. Try to find what makes you feel more full. And don't let many hours between meals and snack times. take care Kate My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/23/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 28 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 283 Amount Saved: 84 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 0 Mins: 20 Seconds: 5
