Day 10

18 years ago 0 4 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
for some reason I really thought today would be the day I turned a corner on these cravings. I'm constantly on the verge of tears even at work and I can feel my anger getting the best of me sometimes. Hi to all! Today is my day 10. I had a difficult weekend, but stayed strong. Today has been a little hard too. I find myself taking deep breaths a lot. I'm using the gum to help the cravings, but am a little concerned that perhaps I'll be addicted to the gum. To off-set the use of it, I try to alternate between the nicotine gum and just regular gum; nonetheless, it is difficult! Does this get easier (please say that it does)? I know that I don't want to ever have to start this process all over. I find that little things are annoying me lately, things that never used to before I quit. I'm jogging almost everyday after work, and that has been my escape to let out whatever this energy inside me is. It also helps to run out of breath and remember just one of the many reasons for quitting. I've been looking around at the forums and reading them helps too. You all who share your stories, experiences and advice are such an inspiration.....thank you! Congratulations to you Keelei on 10 smoke free days. There are lots of ups and downs, but they're well worth it. And it does get easier too! Lots of support here, and lots of great stories too. Keep up the great work and keep on posting. Keelei, It most definitely does get easier, you are in the worst of it, hell and heck weeks. Before you know it smoking may just be a passing thought, not a crave. I do not crave at all anymore, and the days just fly by. Now if only my hubby would quit. Stay close, post and read lots, you can do this!
