Just to let you know I found those "old time" snacks of cinnamin toothpicks and ordered some off the web. They are really great and are HELPING a lot. Very inexpensive too. I found several articles that sunflower seeds are GOOD for quitting. So I stand corrected. 'Sunflower seeds reduce the bodys craving for nicotine by filling the nicotine receptor sites. The infusions strengthen blood vessels and nerves and cushions the impact of withdrawal.' Who would of thought??? I started eating sunflower seeds. I figured they were small and it took a while to eat them. Nuts are fairly healthy. Well don't make this mistake. After 7 days of eating them I all the sudden have blisters on the tip of my tongue. Not a very good substitute at all. This is just a warning. Hi Navigator, I have been living on sunflowers seeds while on the computer in the evenings these past 10 months. I get the salt free or reduced sodium and the only draw back I have noticed is dried lips.... I remember those cinnamon sticks. Haven't seen them for years. So when I quit, I just picked up a bottle of stick cinnamon at the dollar store and used those. Convienient size, nice shape for handeling, fine for flavor, and they last a long time. Thanks for the tip! Keeping your mouth occupied can help with the craves! Use low calorie foods and veggies to snack on as well! Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
