Sunflower,
I had that too. I did not even know how to describe the feeling until someone else asked about it and used the word metallic. If it had not been for that, my quit would have been more of a breeze. The feeling does drive you a little crazy and you worry that it is going to last forever. It does go away although mine lasted several months. I still get a little feeling in my mouth even now sometimes, but not anywhere as bad as it was. It is almost like you are getting a craving in your mouth. I don't think too many people get this side effect. I read online somewhere that it happens because there is sugar in the cigarette paper and when you quit you get ketosis. They sell strips in the pharmacy to test for that. I always meant to pick some up to see if that was what it was but I never did. Anyway don't worry it will go away eventually. In the meantime cinnamon gum helps alot.
