Chin up Navigator, I am not far behind you and I had a really bad "WANT" yesterday, which was my 4 weeks....woohoo. I know it was a want and not a craving because I am on the patch. It was really strange because my heart actually started beating really fast and then all of a sudden my mind said....where is my cig. I hope that was the end of it and I hope you get through this quickly...remember you are doing the right thing for YOU and we all know that you really want this. We are here for you and you deserve so much more in life. I am thinking of you and wishing you only good thoughts!!! Feel them....k. I didn't have a '30 day' slum. I do however having a revelation at around 30 days regarding relationships and confronting feelings. I think that called for more of a celebration than any thing else. It was certainly nothing to fall into a slum about. Also when we smoked we use to smoke heavily when we celebrated. Celebrations and smoking went hand in hand. Personally this is why I think a lot of people report having huge cravings during this time ... it is a 'memory trigger first'. Be prepared for that trigger. At 30 days you deserve to celebrate. So celebrate making a non-smoking memory on top of a smoking memory. It gets easier and easier with each celebration. Congrats to you Navigator ... I believe with all my heart that your quit is going to stick. You are doing great! Hi, Navigator. I didn't have it, either. But many here have, and from what I've seen it seems to last around 3 - 4 days. You may dodge that bullet, too, but if not, just keep in mind that it's only temporary. Smoking has never fixed it, just prolonged it. Navigaotr, Some quitters may never experience this slum! For those who do, they have a advised a couple of days. Take the time to prepare for those days if necessary and use this time to pamper yourself and rid yourself of extra stress. You can do this, so post and let us know how we can help! Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
