I am here reading these posts too. It makes me feel proactive as I wait for these horrible things to begin to happen to me (I am only a couple of days without a cigarette). We can do this! [b]Congrats on your 1st smoke free week Mookie! DO NOT FORGET TO REWARD YOURSELF!!!!! You deserve a treat for this accomplishment! As far as the emotions going. I know what you mean. They all hit me about a week ago. I was a mess. Until I realized ... this is real life. This is a smoke free life. Life is full of emotions ... emotions make life exciting. So I embraced my emotions instead of fight them. If I'm really pissed off ... I'll walk or go relax alone or exercise. Once calm I will then think rationally about what my next action should be. You are doing great Mookie! Keep on keepin' your Quit! Mookie, One week is a great accomplishment. You are doing so good! There will be those days. We all had them before we quit but somehow right now they just seem more intense. Just get through the day and you will have conquored that demon one more time! He will soon go away! Today is 1 week HORRAAAY....I'm feeling really happy and proud to have made it through this first week. Its been a rough ride and today is very bad day. I'm very crabby today and trying to refrain from taking anyone's head off but its getting harder and harder. It feels like not smoking only adds to it but I realize that that is the Nicodemon trying to get to me but N.O.P.E.. I repeat that to myself over and over. Coming here helps and I'll be sitting here reading posts until I'm in better control. I am so full of anger and hostility now. Its time for me to prepare dinner and I love cooking so maybe I'll feel better. I'll be back after dinner. Hope I hear from someone soon. In bad shape today.
