Day 5 progress report

Congrats on your quit! Learning how to replace your smoking time with rewarding activites is difficult, but it helps so much. I've found that I can get through a crave much easier if I have an activity in mind to take up a few minutes of my day. I've actually started enjoying my little patio, and I will go out there and look at my flowers and sit with my kitty when a crave hits. If I'm out of the house, I will take out a book to read for a few minutes. Keep up the good work! Mookie, you are doing great. Please do not forget to slow down and reward yourself. Smokers used smokes as rewards. As a non-smoker you need to reward yourself with other things. You are coming up on a week. What is your reward going to be? Still smoke free!!!! The cravings are not are harsh but still very much the demon for me. I have managed to stay in my office working on various projects at my computer which has helped pass the time instead of smoking. I do feel a little better and I'm not as crabby. Posting here helps also. I try to think like people who do not smoke and replace smoking with other activities. I'm still very antsy and I talk to myself allot...lol...thats not really a new thing though.......Anyway I'm hanging in there striving to get to one week!!! Will be back later...
