Yes Its hard to describe, got that feeling like insides are crawling out, getting a few palps but their not much of a problem. The waves are hitting me pretty regular, about every 5 min or so this morning and i haven't had a smoke in 6 days. Grrrrr. My mood is another problem, i have basically gotten ill with some folks, that were not exactly nice to begin with. I just ran out of cigs lets see, last tuesday i think. Haven't been out of the house in 2 weeks. Sorry, just not thinking clearly, smokes helped with that, i could concentrate. THen theres the cravings. And i realize i make absolutely no sense whatsoever in my writing, but its how i am thinking at this point. This is supposed to be better for me? had a heart attack a few years back and it wasn't this bad. Right now if someone walked through that door and looked at me crosseyed, i would probalby rip their head off and shove it where the sun don't shine! Can't think straight, out of coffee, oh shoot, out of coffee, haven't been out of this house in 11 days. Went up town today first time in 12 days i think. Hrmm might be 13, any way i needed dto get some milk and other stuff. Everyone had to be smoking today! I don't know how i made it, i was up there for 4 hours. Anyway, i somehow made it back home without getting a pack and smoking it before i got home! Its 95 degrees inside here, And i am craving again. Hot tired. Think i am going to go take a shower, turn a fan on me and crawl onto the bed and melt.

I can relate. I didn't leave my house either of 8 days when I quit. Somehow, I felt like I would be better off just isolating myself. Bad mood and short temper are just some of the side effects that you will experience. Just know that this, too, shall pass. Get out of the house - DON'T TAKE ANY MONEY WITH YOU - and go for a walk if you can. Drive around the park, sit at a bench and look at people. Get a book and read, even if you can't concentrate right now. Anything to make you focus on something else. You have already won a great battle. YOU CAN OVERCOME THIS TOO! T. I agree with Danielle and Islandgirl. What you did today stevek was incredible. Really ... look at your accomplishment! 4 weeks ago would you ever had thought you could do that? Probably not ... but check yourself out ... YOU DID! Draw strength from that. We are all rooting for you! I think I had a couple of bad days around day 6-7-8. Not being able to think straight is par for the course. It will pass. Just remember ... this is normal and it will pass. Now that you have quit smoking which will free up about 1 to 3 hours of your day ... have you thought of things you would like to fill your life up with now? Adding new things to your life will keep you busy, will make you happy and will help keep your mind off the smokes. Come here for support ... don't smoke. (((hugs))) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 17 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 528 Amount Saved: $68 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 11 Mins: 33 Seconds: 0

Stevek, I know it's hard but you did make it home without smoking. You have spent quite a few days smoke-free. You can do this! Keep persevering, Danielle ________________________ The SSC Support Team
