Stomach pains

18 years ago 0 3368 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Yeah, thanks for asking. I think it was the candy. I have been doing a lot of 'snacking' this first week. It helped to snack to avoid the smokes. This second week I am going to work on not snacking so much and probably add the gym to my routine. One baby step at a time, right? ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 8 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 266 Amount Saved: $32 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 17 Mins: 55 Seconds: 18

I'm not used to eating so much candy and that was more than likely the culprit.

Hi Shevie *waves* I have been chewing a lot of sugar free gum and M&M's. (mostly sugar free gum) I am pretty much sick of chewing gum at this point! LOL ;p I am probably not eating as many 'meals' because I am snacking or chewing all day it seems and after all that chewing I just don't 'feel' hungry. I am on no medications except the patch. Oh and at night I do use a sleep aid ... like Tylonal PM which I have used many times in the past (never known to have any problems with it). I am honestly beginning to think a lot of it has to do with a nervous stomach, but I now see that the caffeine may be adding to that nervousness. I think next time I pick up my gourmet coffee I'll try for the decaf and see if that helps. I think my nerves are doing better as well ... at least so far today they seem to be. Thanks for responding Shevie. I appreciate it. Hi Joonie. Thanks for responding. I was beginning to think I was the only one that ever had stomach pains or cramps. The stomach pains that I was having earlier today have subsided for now, though I have a feeling they will come back. It may be as you said, from eating a lot of candy, carrots, etc. I didn't think of that, as all I keep think of is that nicotine must be the culprit for all problems. LOL :) I will try mixing up what I munch on and see if that helps.

Hello Casey. Thanks for responding. I understand that my withdraw symptoms may be different than other's withdrawal symptoms and that the symptoms will pass. Unfortunately knowing that doesn't help much when you feel alone with your symptom. It helps to talk to someone that has had the same experience. I wish I could consult a doctor, but that is not an option for me. I appreciate your concern though.

I am not a big water drinker. I a am doing my best. I am drinking flavored water and tea. I will add a couple more pieces of fruit to my menu today and see if that helps. Thank you very much for the idea. I truly appreciate it.

Is caffeine bad for my quit? I have been drinking gourmet coffee in the morning as a treat/reward. I don't want to take my reward away ... :(
