C.A.R.E. team I got a confession to make...

Hey Beja Dont beat yourself up over it. You are human just like the rest of us. It was a disappointing and vile butt, wasnt it? Remember that for the next time you wrestle with a cave-in. I am a big advocate of the Committ lozenge. In 2 weeks, I have dropped to 2 or 3 a day, and I dont even finish the ones I use. The program calls for 9 a day, but I just dont need it. I pop one in until the crave passes. Believe me, this is a miracle for me, because I loved to smoke, and now I dont miss it at all. I will stop using them altogether in a couple of days, but I plan to always have some on hand just in case of an overwhelming emergency. That way I know I wont go into a panic mode, which can make a person lose all logic. .... I had a cigarette today... :( Really, really, really sorry about it.... BUT i still feel strong that I can make it, so I don't give up giving up. I feel disgusting! As soon as I got home had a bath, washed my hair, my teeth.. feel better, but something not right... it stucked in my mind, and now i dont feel 100% clean! None of you should do it, not worth it at all! Hope I can still have the group logo "C.A.R.E" next to my name?! :quest: Need all of your approval.

Bejja, First off, please take the advice of the 2 outstanding ladies above me greatly to heart. The one thing that I heard you say was that you needed all our approval...and that is what I am going to respond to. When you made the decision to quit, who did you make that decision for, and why? Who's approval do you seek in your life? You need look no further than the mirror to find the one's approval you are seeking. As for all of us in here, everyone embraces you from day 1 and gives up on you not. I have a pretty good feeling you may have smoked out of peer pressure or something...you said when you got home you had cleaned up. So where did you go and who were you with and what situation had occurred that made you light one up? Did you light it for youself, or did you light it because of someone else? Just some things to think about. It is a good idea to look at what happenned today, the scenario of the circumstances that you were in at the time and what you were thinking and feeling that led you to light up. Please continue to use the C.A.R.E. logo, you are an April quitter still if you reset your meter today. There is no right or wrong, only choices that are made in the best interest of everyone who makes them for themselves. It is the perception of what is right and what is wrong that confuses people. Please let us know how you are doing. Many Blessings, Eve PROUD TO C.A.R.E. elaine, I'm happy to hear that the lozenge is working for you. However, Bejja, please contact your doctor before taking anything, unless you are already using one. Be safe in your quit. Hi Bejja, This is not an easy thing that we are doing. Sometimes it seems easy and sometimes it is (not seem) VERY difficult! Thanks for your honesty, I know that in itself couldn't have been very easy for you. You know though, you will Triumph! I can tell by the way you are dedicated to kicking the butt off of this addiction. The nosmokeem gang is here for you....And that includes me! A proud C.A.R.E. member, Joonie

Bejja.. What is important is that you learned from this and that you know that N.O.P.E. (Not One Puff Ever) is the only way to quit. There is nothing that smoking helps, nothing that smoking makes better, and nothing that smoking will fix. Where did you get the cigarette? Get rid of all cigarettes, lighters, ash trays, etc. Do not buy, bum or steal any cigarettes. As long as you do not light that first cigarette you are fine. Quitting is tough but you can do it as long as you don't smoke. Bejja, Learn from this. What made you decide to smoke? What coping mechanisms do you have in place? Did you try to use one of them first? What can you do next time to prevent yourself from caving in a tough situation? These are all questions that you need to ask yourself. Get rid of ALL of the cigarettes and make a plan for what you will do next time. Crave the Quit!
