French... can't assist you with the patch but I can with the depression. Yes, I went through a lot of that and it took work to fight it off. You may even want to seek counseling. Some employers now offer a few sessions at no charge to the employee. When we smoked, that is how we delt with our emotions. Now that we don't smoke we have to learn how to deal with them without the crutch. It takes time and this is a big part of the quit process. For me this was the hardest part of the journey. Keep taking it one step at a time and you will adjust. Try to focus on some possitive inspiration every day. This is what has gotten me through the really tough days and I still do it. Kind of helps keep me focused on the good rather than the bad. You are doing great! Keep going. Hi Frenchdi, Medical tape works well too...the kind you find in first aid kits. I had some problems too whenever I was doing anything that made me sweat... Let me give you an extreme about the patch staying put: In my smoking cessation class in 2001 was a roofer. Yes one of those that gets up on top of something everyday in the hot Florida sun and sweats his butt off. He wanted to quit his 4 pack a day habit so bad he used duct tape to hold it on. It worked. He has not had a smoke since I have. Miller man had the answer. Hummm...The roving patch thing? I have never heard of that. It seems you might be building a pool of reasons to make this hard...not tolerable. I strongly encourage you to really apply yourself from the vast knowledge found on the left of these pages. You dear one need the best of reinforcement right now. You can do it though. French, Welcome to our support community. Please take a look around and use the knowledge that is available. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist regarding the patch as they have a world of knowledge to share. Your symptoms will be unique and this is your body's way of healing. If a symptom lasts longer than expected, then check with your doctor to rule out anything medical. We are here to guide you and help you along the way, please post often. Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
