I DID IT, I DID IT So first off, I never knew the casino stunk so bad. First thing I did is went and got a bottle of water. After we ate I went and checked out the non smoking area. No fun machines in that area. I felt good about myself and thought. "I Can Do This". I found a good machine and 4 hours later I thought. WOW I really can do this. I think im going to make it as a non smoker. People came and went. Some smoked some didn't. One man smoked a cigar but not me. When I left (broke) but a still a non smoker I felt so good. 6 weeks ago when I was at that casino I smoked an entire pack of cigaretts in those 4 hours. As I walked to my car. I pulled out the picture of my beautiful little girl. Kissed it and said its all for you baby. I just had a friend call me. She wants to meet for breakfast at the casino. I LOVE THE CASINO. I also loved smoking at the casino. I have not been to the casino since my quit. Any suggestions on how to crave the quit while im there. Other than just not going?? Thanks Smogfree Shamrock Alley My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/30/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 29 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 382 Amount Saved: $114.55 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 8 Mins: 52 Seconds: 0

Hey Butterfly, I think every day I can have just one. But I also know if I have just one I will become a full time smoker. My friend is a not a smoker and would probably drag me out of the casino if she saw me light up. I just remember how muck I loved to smoke when I was at the casino. I also think that if I can go the casino and not smoke I will never lose my quit. Ok im off I printed my reasons for my quit. I have a bunch of pictures of my little girl. I figured if I wanted to light up I would look at her picture instead. I also am taking this list of resturants that my hubby made for me yesturday so I can pick where he is going to take me tomorrow for my 30 day aniversary. I feel better already. Plus I know I will have to come home and tell you how it went and I don't wan't to have to give you the bad news. So like joyful always said to come post before you give in. AlleyAnn, Bring your gum, straws & whatever it takes, you can do it, there wil always be places to smoke - but you DON'T SMOKE ANYMORE. If anything, it makes me sick to be in places that are filled with smoke now, so I already had the challenge you face today. You are well equipped with your list to handle it. Don't stop living life, just Don't Smoke. Hope you have fun & win some $$$ Fellow Shamrocker, CobenFan (Chrsitine M) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 34 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 586 Amount Saved: $119 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 4 Mins: 32 Seconds: 24

Hey Alley, Even if you lost money at the casino, but walk out of there without smoking then consider yourself a winner. good luck Rekud My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 105 Amount Saved: $12.6 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 12 Mins: 36 Seconds: 27

AlleyAnn, This will be a tough trigger for you to get through, but you CAN do this! I say, if you're thinking, even if just in the back of your mind "maybe I'll just have one" already, then don't go! But, if you think that this is something that you are ready to do, then go... bring a few posts with you and perhaps your reasons for quitting. And, of course, gum, hard candy, etc... to help you get through the cravings. Is your friend a smoker or is she someone who will help you protect your quit? Go prepared and you'll be fine! Have a good time... just don't smoke! Crave the Quit!
