Ok enough is enough! :8o: The sky is not falling :| The balls are neither in nor out of the bucket because the range was closed. People do not smoke people. This is not payback for anyones dream. Bill Clinton did inhale. I dont even remember what ... is; let alone know the meaning or definition of ... :confuse: Eve C.A.R.E. you are laughing way too hard. 4My2Girls, you need to clean up that coffee. :gasp: I am NOT silly. :quest: Barbara Streisand did not sing a song about this. And Rob. So help me. Spell check and proof read twice before you post because I will be watching. After all you started this humor. :eg: So, maybe I over reacted a bit; but it was a serious moment, and the thought of smoking again really scared the Hell out of me. I value my freedom. And I am serious when I say stay away from smokers and second hand smoke. Its dangerous! What a creative bunch you are... and comical too. :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 304 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,097 Amount Saved: $1064 Life Gained: Days: 26 Hrs: 20 Mins: 46 Seconds: 8

By standing there, inhaling the smoke, I was being very stupid. I was putting at risk everything I have worked hard for. My biggest problem is that I am ticked off at the desire that ran through me to smoke. Trust me, my desire quickly turned to resentment. The point I want to make to everyone here is that going to bars, being around people that smoke, and putting yourself is smoking situations is very dangerous. Even at 300+ days. The addiction has a hold on all of us and we are all one puff away from allowing the addiction to control us again. When that reality slaps you in the face and you see it materialize it is a very scary place to be. Fortunately, I got mad instead of giving in. There is a lot of deep breathing going on here. The driving range was closed. My desire not to smoke definitely outweighs my desire to smoke. I have crossed the line and now live in the freedom of not smoking. I know how much better it is on this side of the quit. For those of you that are not there yet, dont risk it. Stay away from smokers! I went out on the deck to check on the four year old that was playing in the back yard because I heard dad yelling at him. While standing there, without even realizing it I inhaled some of dads second hand smoke. Then, I just stood there. I actually took a couple of really deep breaths and intentionally inhaled his second hand smoke. More than once! Now I sit here with tears in my eyes. Feeling I have cheated in some way. It is almost like I just took the cigarette and put it in my own mouth. The first wasnt on purpose, but the next couple of deep breaths were. What a horrible, horrible addiction. For two seconds I saw my whole quit go down the drain and I was right back at being the smoking addict that I was months ago. Stay away from people that smoke people! All that hard work can be gone in a matter of seconds. I think Ill go to the driving range and hit a couple of buckets of balls. Lady, If you did that every single day, 20 or 30 times a day, you might have a problem. Once is NOT a problem!!!!!!!!!!!! You're being WAY too hard on yourself, like everyone here has already said. You did NOT cheat in any way, shape or form! I know you know that! Go bang some balls... that's fine. But you did NOT smoke and you did NOT cheat! And, you're not going to because you're stronger than this addiction! Crave the Quit! So, you're camping this summer (yeah!), sitting around the campfire and the breeze carries the campfire smoke your direction. I know cigar and cigarette smoke has its own distinctive odor and may even be slightly less irritating than campfire smoke, but, you see the point don't you? Like everyone else has already stated, Lady, you didn't do anything wrong. You didn't physically pick up a cigarette and smoke it, you didn't go down to see your husband and ask for a drag off his cig. Cigarette smoke can sometimes smell good, and we're addicts. You're a pillar of support at this site, like so many others here. You're 300+ days into your quit! Hold your chin up, stick out your chest and be proud of what you've accomplished, Lady! And all of the others you've helped! You're an inspiration to us all!
