Cry Baby

Okay, so this is what I get for being so strong. My bills are in the dump and I get a call from a creditor. I immediatly bite their heads off and start bawling like a baby on the phone. They transfer me to a supervisor and I bite his head off and demand he help me! Anyhow, I ended the phone call and here I am. Blood boiling and crying all over my keyboard. The maddest thing is that I did this to myself (the debt thing) and I only have myself to blame. I have to change that. I go good for a while, and then whamo ------ one thing goes wrong and then the rest follow. I'm so upset right now. I have no desire to smoke, but for some wrong, discusting and scarey reason, I want to smell smoke. Sometimes being too strong comes crashing down............ :( My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 38 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,161 Amount Saved: $124.26 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 2 Mins: 46 Seconds: 30

Oh my God! I could have typed this. your life sounds like mine. I think of the money I am saving from not smoking and I still am in debt and like you my own fault. Life is tough enough and giving up smoking is a bigger task then anything. Unlike you I do sometimes want to run for a cigarette. But I will fight and know it wont solve my problems. Keep up your quit and dont worry tomorrow will be better.Crying seems to be par for the course in this journey of the quit. 4my2girls. I've been a cry baby too. You are going to be fine. It is all part of the process. You are going to learn how to deal with the stress without smoking and without crying but it is going to take you some time. Be patient with yourself. You are in the process of accomplishing one of the greatest things you will ever do in your life. Don't worry about bitting off anyone's head. Especially not a bill collector. I'm sure its all part of the territory with them. Chin up and keep moving foward. You are doing great! Hi, I had to laugh when I read your post. Because I spent several hours yesterday crying for me. I missed that smell, or some smell, or maybe it was the heat and the warm air. So I got out my candle the one that smells of lavender, and some matches. I must have lit it 3 or 4 times, and just breathed the match and the snuffed out candle. Then I lit it and left it burning while I took a bath. OK, so its crazy, but I'm still not smoking. One day at a time, that is how we get through. Just be sure to get your rabies shot if you need one in your area. 4my2girls, Tough day...I think I see a well earned bubble bath in your future ;) I don't think it is TOO weird about wanting to smell smoke. I had been quit for almost two months when school started again (I go at night) and this was an ENORMOUS trigger for me. During our break I followed the smokers to their little enclave and sniffed around. It did make me feel better and that is as far as it went. No harm no foul. Let's face it, this is a weird adjustment time so give yourself what you need within reason and make it through to another day! Great job on those 38 DAYS and boy I wish I could give you the numbers of some telemarketers to call to let off some more steam!
