Hitting hard times....

I don't know why I'm feeling like I am... It's so difficult to think, to sleep, to cope. Being disabled the chronic pain is driving me out of my mind. Can't go for walks. So, I pray, listen to relax tapes, cry, and come to this site. It will be 2 days of no smoke at 2 pm today. Seems like the longest 2 days in my life. It is very difficult for me to do anything and being limited like I am makes me angry. I am embarresed to admit this but I must because I can't and won't lite up. :8o: During the night I think I was having anxiety attacks because I felt tightness in my chest. I don't ever want to go through this again!! babs! Congrats on your 2 AMAZING days!!! I hung onto this site with everything I had for the first 24 hours, then the next 24 hours, then the next 24 hours, and didn't let go...and here I am. You are doing it too, whether you are aware of it already, or not!! I read as much as I could without my eyes going blurry, and when I wasn't reading I was posting, when I wasn't posting or reading I was sleeping, when I wasn't sleeping I was making coffee and popping licorice bits in my mouth! I listened to music and listened to the advice of the other wise ones that have come before me in here to doing the BREATHING. If you are going to be doing the breathwork you might as well INHALE THE AIR DEEPLY. I didn't go out for my first few days either. I just stayed home and did whatever I could to keep postive and stay on here with these great folks! So stay here babs, you've got loads of support here!!! From one C.A.R.E. member to another, YOU KNOW YOU CAN DO THIS, YOU'VE ALREADY MADE THE DECISION. Now just stick around here and post and read and then read some more and post some more!!! Stay Strong babs!!!! Many Blessings, Eve :) Proud to be a C.A.R.E. Hi babs - Hang in there, and take it one moment at a time... We can handle anything one moment at a time, dear one. Crying is healing, and the anger coming up is also healing . Do some deep breathing - in ...hold it.... out... And the energy around you will gentle down, creating a safe, sacred space for YOU... babs, the only way to not go through it again is to get through it this time. The first few days are so difficult, and you have extra issues to boot. The best I can say is to hang in there and stay close to this site. The next day or two will be tough, but you will soon see a light. Remember you are withdrawing from an addiction...if you light up, you're back where you started. Just take it one minute, one hour, one cigarette not smoked at a time!
