Oddly, I've been exactly the opposite of you - I haven't been sleeping well at all so I'm just beat-down exhausted. However - it's cool to see someone else with the same quit day as me! Keep it up - it's been great so far! B

I timed my quit with an easy schedule, meaning I hadf the first two days off from work, school was winding down, etc. etc. So the first couple of days were not too bad, I just stayed in and took it easy, My third day I had to work and got some strong urges, but nothing too bad. What I'm getting at is last night (third night) and this morning I was crazy energenic. I couldn't sleep and this morning I had a final and felt like bouncing off the walls. I went to work out to kill off all this extra energy but it's starting to build up again. Anyone else have something like this happen? I don't know if it's because most of the cigarette crap is gone or what, but it's a bit annoying, (though 3+ days of not smoking is worth putting up with it) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/23/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 97 Amount Saved: $14 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 12 Mins: 15 Seconds: 2

It's just weird, the first two days I was napping and relaxed, now I'm just really wound up, It's not bad, I just have to do something constructive.

Harrow, What you are going through is completely normal. Bingo, what you're going through is normal too though! People react differently under the same situations. It's weird, but true. And the insomnia is VERY common! Just hang in there. That added energy that you're feeling right now could come in handy! Crave the Quit! Hi, Harrow. Your body and brain have gone for years with nicotine in them. Now, suddenly, that nicotine is gone. As a result, your body and brain chemistries are just totally whacked (nice, scientific term). Lethargy, animation, moodiness, uncontrollable laughter, sadness, crying, depression, elation, can't sleep, can't stay awake. All are a part of a normal quit. It will all settle out eventually. Just hang in there. You're through the detox phase. Congratulations, Harrow. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 339 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,792 Amount Saved: $1288.2 Life Gained: Days: 63 Hrs: 7 Mins: 30 Seconds: 7
