Hi Circuit What time of day are you going to the gym? Are you working extra hours? Getting enough rest? drinking 8 glasses of water each day?Diet as a lot to do with energy as well. Vitamins, lifestyle all play roles here. CobenFan

If it's possible to do your workout in the morning or on your lunch hour, it would be better. Your body tends to rev up in the hours AFTER a workout (which is your bedtime) so the earlier the better. SOmetimes just changing time and routine rev up your system in other ways too (less boredom, something different, etc). I would not take sleeping pills, although I know plenty of folks that do. Sometimes it's normal just to be completely tired and run down. Body signals when it needs more rest - early on your quit you need it even more! Be gentle with yourself and in time it will get better for you. Hi circuit - Maybe a couple of good nights sleep will help. I am not a big proponant of sleep aids but I found it necessary around the 30 day mark to take a Tylenol PM before going to bed for a couple of nights - just to revive my system. My biggest side effect of not smoking was not sleeping - and I am a girl who likes her sleep! It does get better - but I was so tired for about the first 1 1/2 months. Hope you get a rejuvanated sleep tonight. Hi Circuit - I just saw on another thread that you are using patches - are you taking them off to sleep? I did not use the patch but I know from reading around here that they interrupt your sleep pattern. Maybe it's time not to use them at night. I found that if I wake up early in the morning and get started I have a good day. But if I stay in bed and not get up I'm screwed for the rest of the day, no energy, no motivation, tired etc. Try it out might work for ya.
