Dear Phunky!! Wellbutrin is amazing!!! I personally, can't take it...but my mom did and she has been smoke free for 18 months now!!! I applaud your decision to give it a try and congratulate you on your quit so far!! Good for you. Happy non-smoking!!!!!!!

Hey Phunky Congratulations on the first week. Glad to know we share the not being a kid stuff and I still feel like a kid most of the time. Lots of exercise and lots of care for what you eat will really help in getting you through without gaining a lot of weight. Great to know it is going well and I hope you are prepared for the craves that can happen out of the blue. Find some coping mechanisms and strengthen your resolve. You are doing great and wonderful to hear from you. Cheers Phillip :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 78 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,579 Amount Saved: $585 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 20 Mins: 54 Seconds: 31

Okay, I hope no one gets ready to lynch me...but this quit has been REALLY easy so far...I'm using wellbutrin, but I also used it the last time. So far, the worst symptoms I have had was a bad headache on days 1-3, but I haven't been extra cranky, and not jonesing for a nicotine fix...I think the only thing I've done different this time is I started a 7 day toxin flush the same day I quit, fiber and biotics in the AM and an herbal mix in the PM...drinking over a gallon of water a day now...I've also lost like 4 pounds. If it ever stops raining here, I'm going to start taking a daily bike ride with my 2 year old in tow in the trailer. I hope nobody takes this as gloating, because it isn't, I'm just thrilled that this quit is going so well. Alright, week 1 down....I've been walking in the morning and riding my bike in the evening...still guzzling the water, and everything is smooth. I've had some mild cravings, but they were easily put aside when measured up against how good I've been feeling. Eating healthier as well. I think all of this is a side effect of realizing I'm no longer a kid...headed for 33 in 21 days. I know I'm not gonna live forever, but i don't want to think of 33 as middle age...I'd like to make it as long as possible. To be honest, it isn't cancer that scares me, it's emphysema. ramble, ramble......easier than trying to focus right now :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/28/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 8 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 177 Amount Saved: $24.4 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 3 Mins: 32 Seconds: 8
