Congratulations on 11 days, CS, this is a very tough addiction, worse than heroin, so don't beat yourself up for freaking out. Reward yourself...shop or whatever.....for making such an excellent decision. Are you using NRT? I could never do cold turkey but some swear it's the best way. Someone is always hear if you need support. Stay close and post often. This will pass and you will find you have never felt better :) I got thru the early days walking. It really beat the craves. Now I've joined a gym and it's the best! Hang in there....you'll makeit. Get through right now. Get through today. Forget last night. Don't worry about your other quits. Don't worry about other people's quits. All you have to do is right now. For me, days 10 and 11 were the worst. And they were Christmas, so you can imagine how my husband felt! NO! NO! You will not have days like this the rest of your life! Who told you that? It's the addiction talking into your ear. Let it go out the other ear. As Josie says, pamper yourself, take a bubble bath, drink some nice hot tea, put on your jammies, play some nice music. Day by day, you will be farther away from where you started this quit. Not every day will be good -- that was true when you were a smoker, too. But things will get better! Chicken, You know it will pass! Everyone's body will react differently and some will have moments like no other. Take the time to have a good cry and move on. Use some relaxation techniques to focus on you and make sure you always have some coping mechanism at your side! Keep Strong, Josie ______________________ The SSC Support Team.
