quitter, Hang in there, stay close to the site, we are all here for you. We offer two sites and they are called The Depression Center and The Panic Center. We feel that at this time your thoughts and concerns would best be suitable for these sites. These sites have online support groups and also free tools to assess you needs. Please feel free to visit these sites at: www.paniccenter.net and www.depressioncenter.net. Take Care, Melanie _____________________ The SSC Suppor Team

Today is my last day of the patch. I've been on the 7 mg patch for two weeks, I was on the 14 mg patch for two weeks before that. I'm scared. I'm in the middle of depression, lots of tears and feeling very vulnerable. Physically, I feel ready to move on to no nicotine. I'm barely craving cigarettes now and I'm feeling more and more like an ex-smoker and less like a smoker waiting desperately for that next cigarette. My body's thanking me for quitting smoking, and it's tired of the nicotine. I want to be done with it. But with the psychological aspects wearing me down, I'm afraid that I'm going to descend into a place where I'm not functioning or productive. The thing with allowing myself to be less than productive is that I've been doing that for nearly a month. I can't continue cutting myself all this slack. My job demands won't allow it. If going off the patch doesn't work, I'll just go buy another box. But I want it to work, I really really do. The sooner I'm done with nicotine, the better. Anybody out there that has recently done the final step on the patches? What's it like? And how long does this withdrawal depression usually last? I'm a wreck here!
