While I was doing some cleaning at home today, I came upon a half pkg. of cigs. Now I am on the Patch - 14mg - but still of course experience craves (many). This was quite hard for a minute or two - I just stared at this pkg. Would have been so easy to cave. I was all alone. The only person I would have been fooling was myself - I ripped each one in three and disposed of them all in the toilet. I have 20 smokeless days under my belt and just DO NOT want to repeat this over and over. I've smoked for 40 years and do not want to "poke the tiger" any further. It really helps to read the posts and know there is such fantastic support here! :)

Sadie, A huge CONGRATULATIONS to you! You won that battle with Nicodemon. I find the most difficult battles are the ones where you are all alone, and you know that no one would know if you smoked. The whispers of Nicodemon tell us "just a couple puffs and then you can go back to your quit and no one would be the wiser." You did good! Strut your 20 days quit with pride...when you fight battles like the one you describe...can we say VICTORY!!!! That's really great Sadie! I've had that same conversation with myself on occasion... what would it hurt to have just one puff? You made the right decision! YAY YOU! Great job Sadie on 20 days Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit......
