Off the Patch!

Very proud of you Sadie! I'm in the same boat you are, my hubby doesn't smoke either and has no idea what this addiction does to you. Stay strong and keep coming here for help when you need it. There will always be someone you can lean on or someone who needs your help to get through a rough spot. You are stronger than this addiction! T.

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

Hi Sunshine, I started on the 14mg patch - probably should have used the 21mg but my friend gave me some 14's that she no longer was using and I just started with them. I was actually Ok (Used to smoke 25/day) with the 14's. I can't really remember exactly how long I've been on 7, but did want to come off - and I had been feeling OK. - still am actually - except the little heated discussions with nic (I won't even capitalize the word). Thanks for the support. s

Well, I'm off the Patch now for 24 hrs. Days of quit are 45. I find that I'm definitely being visited by Nic more today - been arguing with him all day! Much more than on the patch - I guess that's to be expected??? Hopefully, it will get easier each day? I'm sure it will- just need to talk to you all. Again, hubby does not smoke and although he does listen to me rant and rave, I know he really doesn't know what I'm going through - and I don't expect him to. But you all do, and it really is the best to be able to vent to those that know exactly what you are going to through! s

Hi Sadie, Congratulations on your 45 days, but I am curious why did you only wear it for 44 days? Did you have a problem with it? The reason I ask is this, I wore the patch for 10 weeks = 70 days. That was the directions that came with the patch.. Did you start with a lower mg patch? I started with the 21mg, and then the 14mg, and then 7mg. Sadie, stay strong and keep your guard up. You are doing great. Should you need help you know where to come.... Don't forget the deep breathing..that is so important. I'm so happy that your husband don't smoke. Can you imagine what your life would be like if he did. There is no way he could know what you are going through. So anytime you need to vent just come to the site and vent all you need too. Hi Sadie, you are doing great! None of my family hve ever smoked but that is one reason why coming here is so important for me and for you. Just keep on truckin, we will still get some bad moments but just remamber how much worse they were at the beginning!
