Hello Everyone!

Thanks for all the replies! I am going cold turkey as I feel that nicotine alternatives will just prolong my withdrawals. I'm boarding myself in for a couple of days just to get past the initial cravings. I'm already feeling irritable and shaky so I'm just going to go lay down for a while.

Just thought I'd go ahead and post an introduction. Today is my quit date so it seemed an appropriate time to introduce myself. This will be the 4th time I've tried to quit. I'm hoping that this support group will be just the ticket to get me to my goal of never smoking again. Thanks for having a look and I hope to chat with all of you real soon! Hello and congrats on making the first and most important step. This is a great site simply because there are lots of others doing exactly what you are doing and therefore can relate to all the trials and tribulations. Most of us have tried to quit several times before, but just remember that you only need to be successful once! If you need any advice or support this is the place to come!
