Soothing Tea & Exercise

YES!!! Oh my God! It is so good! My new addiction is Vanilla Chai Tea with splenda, a touch of honey and fat-free half and half (less carbs than milk). I drink it after every meal and sometimes in between. Yum!! Smells and tastes so much better than cigarettes! Congratulations, you are on the right track. YOu can quit smoking and not gain a ton, lots of exercise and watch what you are eating seems to be the trick. Good luck on the new job. I've been eating like there is no tommorow since I quit, but I refuse to get depressed about it. I can already see where I've gained the weight, but today I felt like I'm starting to get some control back. I bought some Chai Tea at the store and I put a little honey, Splenda and 1% milk in it. Boy is it soothing and good! It curbs my cravings too. I just love it! I've also heard eating oranges combat cravings b/c of the bioflavinoids in them. So I've been eating one of those a day as well. I've always been a gym rat, but now that I've quit cigs and can breathe I've got this incredible energy level and I'm loving every min of it. I don't have to worry about my friends smelling it on me or my clothes. YEAH! I'm getting certified this month to become a fitness coach, aerobic and spinning instructor. I start teaching Spinning in just a few weeks-I'm so excited plus this is a great motivator to keep my quit! Now if I could get these extra lbs off I'll be happy. Nobody wants to see a fat instructor!

tx, You are totally on the right track with everything you posted! Try increasing you water intake and decreasing your portion sizes. This may make a difference. Keep going strong and post your stats! Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
