Look how far you have come! The cravings will pass. Be sure to do things to get your mind off the cravings. I often get sad feelings as if I am missing somethingbut it soon passes. Hang in there and be strong.

Hi, it really is a rocky journey isn't it! how fantastic that you have gone for more than a month. Just try and keep focussed and, if you can, enjoy beating back the cravings. Just think how proud you will be to have beaten them once again and proved that you control your life not some foul smelling cancer sticks. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/6/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 15 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 187 Amount Saved: 37.5 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 20 Mins: 22 Seconds: 23

I'm continually surprised by craving a cig. I dream about smoking. I went out for dinner last night, and had a glass of wine. There is no smoking anywhere inside in California but as soon as I left the restaurant, I'd have a cig to top off that glass of wine. But not last night. I didn't have one. Which is a HUGE thing for me. It's as big a thing as coffee and a cig in the morning. Hang tough. I know it's hard, it's really hard but you can do it.

Been quit for over a month, but this week has seemed to be harder for me than normal. Nothing triggered it or has changed far as I can tell, but certainly have more thoughts of smoking lately. I am determined not to start again, but need a little tough love encouragement from you all. Thanks for the support. Blythe, The last few days have been so rough on me also. This morning I was ready to just throw it all away. I couldn't even turn on the computer. I got up and I got out and just stayed concentrated on what I have acomplished this far. I walked over 5 miles and just kept breathing in those deep breaths, and remembering how I couldn't walk a half block without huffing and puffing. That nicodemon has been beating me down for days and today was the day that I was just going to give in. All I can say is a power greater then myself got me through and then when I came home I turned on the computer and found that I wasn't alone. When I see us newbie's struggling and how much we go through yet stick together, then when I read the post of those who have 100 and up days who are still here helping us through and knowing they too went through what we are and they let us know how we to can get to the other side. I guess that is what helps me through each day. Hang in there Blythe we can do it one day at a time, sometimes one minute at a time.
