Milaya, you are not a loser. You are an addict who is attempting to gain control over one of the strongest addictions known. That makes you a winner in anybody's book.
DH needs thumped on the head. Not hard, just enough to rattle things around in there. You're on your second day quit. You're in physical nicotine withdrawal. Your body and brain chemistries are in disarray (totally whacked is a better description). And DH puts the fixin's for a fix right into your hands. Brain screams "YEAH, YEAH, GIMME, GIMME, GIMME!!!!". Primal, addicted part snatches control from the rational part and you try one. But it's so nasty even the primal part recoils a bit; just enough that the rational part can finally regain power.
No, you did not blow it. Everything's just fine. Sounds like you probably didn't get much more nicotine in you than you would from second hand smoke. (BTW, it was Clinton that didn't inhale)
This has been a lesson in the strength of the junkie. Go forward, Milaya. Your smoke-free future is waiting.
