Trust me Lady, I know... was just trying to let ya'll in on a little hint of what my last 3 days has been like. My reward was my husband and I going out to a very nice steak restaurant Saturday night and having a wonderful time with lots of laughs, a little wine, and some awesome food. The other stuff is just the normal, run of the mill crapola that seems to always happen at the same time. N.O.P.E. My reward (s)is (are)...new radiator for husbands car, new freezer for house, new kitchen sink spigot, um...guess that's about it. Sounds like great rewards...doesn't it? I think when I get home from work I'm just going to crawl into bed and hope this day goes away...fast. Thanks all. N.O.P.E. Posted this in the "coping with cravings" section but I don't really think that its about cravings... Tody started out like most others...wake up in a bit of a cranky mood because that first morning cigarette is still calling to me and making me angry with my quit. But for some reason, the whole day has been like that today. I don't want to smoke, don't really even want to go find one or buy any but yuck, I'm just feeling very angry today. UGH N.O.P.E. Hi Janet.....don't know if this helps, but the way you're feeling is totally normal. You need to find ways to feel better with something besides a cig. I like to walk/exercise as I am worried about ballooning up, but, really, it just makes me feel good. I take a book everywhere , something to do besides smoke. You get the idea. Yoga is great....buy a DVD for your next reward. You are doing great....don't get discouraged. I promise it gets easier. This too will pass. It's not always easy and fun but you can do it. Just don't smoke. And, please, feel free to come here and rant, rave, kick and scream or just read. Maybe it's time to go shopping and reward yourself. Stay close, post often and let us know how it's going. You, too, Penguin. In love and light, Janet :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 184 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,691 Amount Saved: $920 Life Gained: Days: 24 Hrs: 8 Mins: 7 Seconds: 41

Janet...those are not rewards! Try again. Rewards have to be rewarding not necessaties. Keep breathing folks. Deep breaths. Get some sugar free candy, mints, gum...kick, scream, whatever it takes. Just don't smoke. I replied to your other thread but will add to it here. Quitting isn't easy but it gets easier with each passing day. Don't give in to the junkie thinking. There is nothing that smoking will make better. Nothing at all. Keep up the great work. You are doing awesome! I agree this day sucks. I'm not only angry, but sad, mad, depressed, and anxious. I am feeling better than two hours ago. Stick close. Someone reached out their hand to me this morning and it helped, so here's my hand - hold on tight. We will do it together! It's a choice!
