Hey Amy ! I think one of the greatest things about you is that you have not let quitting slow you down. You meet each day with a great attitude and that.. "Bring it on .. I can handle it !" stature. You're a winner ! Hang Tuff ! Hey everyone! Another smoke free day!! I am doing very well! I have to speak tommorow at an event International Womens Day is holding. Im am excited yet nervous too! I had 2 triggers lately, one was a perfume I havent worn since I smoked, i used it to cover up the smoke smell I and others could not stand!! I sprayed it yesterday and got so triggered! But it went away fast thats wat I keep reminding myself of!! I had a trigger today when my mom dropped me off somewhere and left usually Id smoke right away but I didnt obviously it was weird but i felt okay and it didnt last for long. Its weird how these triggers come out slowly, I like making note of them. Its intereting what the mind and body remeber still. Hows my Knights doing? ang... you are doing great. The more times you experience the same triggers without smoking, the easier it gets. Going shopping was a huge trigger for me. I will have to stay in practice to make sure it doesn't trigger me anymore :p . Seriously it was a huge trigger but after a few times, it didn't bother me anymore. Keep up the great quit. I think you are AWESOME! Now go get some new perfume! ang, Congrats on your great quit! You know, triggers will be around for quite a while. It has been said that you need to be quit for a full year and experience each season as a non smoker to really get all of the triggers out of your system. By the time a year has passed, you should have done everything there is to do in the course of your day to day life and experienced all of them smoke free. So as you continue your journey, don't fret about another trigger that creeps up on you. Deal with it and you will never be bothered with it again. When the human body gets a germ, the white blood cells attack it and kill it. Sometimes it ends up as a cold or a sore throat or whatever. The good news is that for the rest of your life you will never be bothered with that same germ as the body has "mappped" it and will kill it off as soon as it enters the body. So too with triggers. Kill them off and you will continue to build your quit and your confidence. Continued best wishes. [b][color=Purple]Be Strong. Be Smart.
